Philadelphia Indigenous People Day Celebration

Celbrating the Diversity of Indigenous of this Continent Living in Philadelphia

This year, on October 13th, 2024, we will hold our 14th Philadelphia Indigenous People Day Celebration.

At Bartrams Gardens from 11 am to 5 pm.

While OYC’s programming is led by  Mexican people here in Philadelphia, we are open and welcoming to people of all cultures, races, genders, and abilities who live in the Greater Philadelphia communities and neighborhoods in which we are intrinsically connected. We are dedicated to making all our programming accessible, free to the public, and family-friendly.

We were part of the delegation that campaigned to recognize its Indigenous people. Since 2011, when the Philadelphia City Council declared the first Saturday of October as Indigenous Peoples Day, we have joined with the Native American/Indigenous communities in Greater Philadelphia to organize an annual Indigenous People’s Day Celebration and Powwow.
